This policy covers paid subscriptions to Spatial India. The free tier of the Service involves no payment and nothing to refund. Subscriptions are billed annually in Indian Rupees (INR) and are sold to individuals — one subscription, one account.
You may request a full refund of any subscription charge within seven (7) calendar days of that charge. You do not have to give a reason, and we will not ask for one. This applies to the first charge on a new subscription and to every renewal charge alike.
Downloading data, exporting a file, or otherwise using the paid features during those seven days does not affect your right to a refund.
Write to hello@spatialindia.com from the email address on the account, with the word "refund" in the subject line. Please include the payment reference from your Razorpay receipt if you have it. No form and no call are necessary.
Refunds are always returned to the original payment method. We cannot refund to a different card, account, or UPI ID.
When a refund is issued, the paid features stop working immediately — not at the end of the period you paid for. Your account remains, and everything on the free tier continues to work exactly as before. Files you had already downloaded remain yours to keep, subject to the licence terms that applied when you downloaded them.
You may cancel a subscription at any time by writing to hello@spatialindia.com from the email address on the account. We act on it the same day and confirm in writing. Cancellation stops the next renewal charge. It does not end the current period: your paid access continues until the date you have already paid for, and then stops.
Outside the seven-day window described in Section 2, cancellation does not produce a refund, and we do not refund unused time on a pro-rata basis. If your circumstances are unusual, write to us anyway — Section 6 applies.
Requests made after the seven-day window are considered case by case, at our discretion. We will always refund a duplicate charge, a charge on a subscription you had already cancelled, or a charge for a service we failed to deliver, whenever it is reported.
If a payment fails, no access is granted and no money is taken. If your bank shows a pending amount after a failed payment, it is an authorisation hold and it is released by your bank, typically within five to seven business days.
The small verification charge. Setting up a recurring mandate involves a separate verification charge — commonly one rupee — taken by Razorpay or your bank to confirm the account can be debited. You may see it on your statement alongside your subscription payment. It is reversed automatically, it is not a charge by Spatial India, and it is not part of what you paid us. Nothing needs to be requested for it to come back.
If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank. We settle these directly and far faster than a dispute process can.
