Malda to set maiden national example for primary solid waste management and rural water supply

December 17 @ 4:16 am

In the 21st century, climate change has been an area of major concern for the whole world. The adverse effect of climate change has been observed in all countries, especially in developing countries, including persistent drought and extreme weather events, rising sea levels, coastal erosion and ocean acidification, further threatening food security, water, energy and health. The changing climate continuously increasing the amount of CO2in the atmosphere, leading the greenhouse effect and depletion on ozone layer, causing threat to human life in coming years.
Fifth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) clearly mentioned that warming of the climate system is unequivocal and human influences on it is very much clear. Continued increasing anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions causes further global warming and will cause a pervasive and irreversible impacts on the people and the ecosystems.

Substantial and sustained reductions in GHG, together with adaptation, can limit the risk of climate change risk. Indeed, adaptation and mitigation actions are complementary for reducing and managing the risks of climate change. These strategies shall be underpinned by common enabling factors, including effective institutions and governance, provision of adequate finance, innovation and investments in environmentally sound technologies and infrastructure.
The main objective of the proposed conference is to highlight the importance of keeping continued focus on the current issues of climate change and to provide a platform to the researchers, scientists, engineers and students in all areas of physics, chemistry, computer science engineering &information technology, electrical engineering, electronics & telecommunication engineering/ electronics engineering, applied sciences & mathematics, for the dissemination of original research results, new ideas and practical developmental experiences; which concentrate on both theory, experiments and practices for creating an impetus and momentum toward searching a universal and ambitious agreement on climate change scenarios.
The conference will also stress to establish the need for integrating research, policies and practices, to effectively utilize climate change adaptation and mitigation opportunities, throughout the world, by employing cutting-edge, state-of-the-art technology.
Experts from India and abroad are expected to participate in this conference. We will be happy to have you as one of the honorable participants in the conference, by presenting your research work. We shall be grateful to receive your suggestions towards the conference.
